Bakarameistarinn in Mjódd has been a popular stop ever since it opened in 1996, quickly becoming the coffee house/bakery hybrid it is today. The place was renovated in 2007, adding seating both inside and on the pedestrian mall. Mjóddin offers a great atmosphere and is a fun place to visit, for example after a refreshing walk in Elliðaárdalur, to grab a cup of coffee and a slice of cake.
